Chair Wear started as a mildly ironical comment on the ever faster trends in furniture design. But the aim of Chair Wear is not just to stimulate re-use. We researched the possibilities of adding comfort to hard wooden chairs, or of creating additional functions for simple chairs. For this purpose, the chairs are dressed up with unexpected textiles, ranging from high-tech to industrial to traditional.

To enhance the feeling of a fashion presentation, the Chair Wear exhibition in Milan was accompanied by a tongue-in-cheek animated movie, showing walking chairs and explaining in a playful way about the ideas and possibilities offered by Chair Wear. Thanks to the film, visitors were enticed to stay longer and have an even better look at our presentation.
