Robber Hotzenplotz, a participatory exhibition

Landesmuseum Württemberg, Badisches Landesmuseum, Landesmuseum Koblenz

Robber Hotzenplotz, the protagonist of a series of children’s books, is world-famous in Germany. For a traveling children’s exhibition, we translated the world of the first book, which was published in 1962, into a life-sized puppet theatre, based on the original illustrations. Lots of activities and games from grandma’s times are hidden behind and between the scenes.

Winner German Design Award 2020 Gold,
Category ‘Fair and Exhibition’.

The images you see here are from the last edition in the Landesmuseum Koblenz in 2021-2022. It was originally developed for the Landesmuseum Württemberg Stuttgart and was also on show in the Badisches Landesmuseum, Karlsruhe.
